UDHAMPUR, Aug 25: Udhampur Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 100 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
The accused, identified as Sadiq Hussain, son of Abdul Qarim Bakarwal of Sundrani, was intercepted by a Police party from Udhampur Police Station when he was travelling on foot near Meat Market Udhampur. During his frisking, two bags containing 100 pouches of J&K Desi whisky, were recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered liquor. A case in this connection has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
