KATHUA, Mar 8: Though world was celebrating the International Women’s Day today a body of seven months premature female baby was recovered from bushes at Basholi more in Lakhanpur adjacent to a police Naka this morning.
The body was taken to District Hospital Kathua were the doctors after examining said she was born four to five days back. Body of infant was defaced.
According to reports the people developed some suspicion as the crows and dogs started collecting round the bushes on the bank of Kashmir Canal near Basholi More. The people went near the bushes and saw a seven months premature infant lying there. The baby was totally defaced.
They informed the Lakhanpur Police who took the baby into their custody. The Police shifted the baby to District Hospital Kathua for examination where the Doctors reported that her birth had taken place four to five days back. The Police has registered a case and started investigations. However no arrest has been made so far.
