JAMMU, Dec 2: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) led by Harbans Choudhary, senior BMS leader today met Director Employees State Insurance Society (ESIS) and PF Commissioner, Abdul Rashid War and submitted them a memorandum of demands.
The deputation members discussed the non-payment of ESI medical reimbursement bills of workers who had deposited such bills long back.
The deputation said that such workers are facing financial hardships.
The Commissioner issued instruction that payment of all the pending bills should be credited in the accounts of worker within 2-3 days.
Issue of poor working of ESI dispensaries with their staff being non-punctual on duties was also raised.
The deputation members said that PF cases are not settled on first come first basis in Samba and Kathua districts for which the Commissioner gave strict instructions that in case of violation disciplinary action will be taken.
It was decided that first three days of a week will be kept for PF cases work and remaining three days will be kept for data updating.
The deputation further said that PF portal has stopped accepting withdrawal cases and it was decided that only retirement, daughter marriage and heath related cases will be entertained from now onward.
The Commissioner also extended the last date for accepting education assistance cases from the present of December 15.
Ashok Choudhary, J&K BMS general secretary; Ishfaq Ahmed Chohan, Sachin Bali, Suresh Raina, Chuni Lal and Bua Ditta were also present in the deputation.
