JAMMU, Sept 23: To celebrate World Rose Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented musical play ‘Tandursti Hazaar Niymat’ under its Musical Series at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur.
The program was inaugurated by V K Magotra, Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, who was the chief guest while Dr Anju Dogra (Registrar, J&K Health Department), Dr Tara Singh Charak (former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department) and RP Amla (event director) graced the occasion as guests of honour.
Special awareness items prepared on the theme “Cancer Kola Bacho”, “Yoga Kari Asyen Sehat Banani -Ghar Ghar Jayie Ae Vidya Sikhani”, “Shaher Shaher Aur Gaon-Gaon Main Sab Nai Shapat Uthai Hai”, “Swachh Bharat Ho Swasth Bharat”, “Jeewan Main Na Rahe Bimari -Chapat Uthao Lao Yoga Se Yari” and “Karo Yog -Raho Nirog” were presented by the BLSKS artists. Nukkad, skits, songs and dances were presented to aware the masses.
The play was written by M L Dogra, chairman, BLSKS and the music was rendered by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor of the Institute.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of BLSKS who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, MC Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, KK Joshi, Chahat Chadha, Asha Koul, Sawan Koul, Deevam Jandiyal, Usha Rani and Bablu Kumar.
