JAMMU, May 13: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) performed it’s 156th Saturday series Dogri musical play “Bin Pani Kiyan Jina” today in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu on the theme of ‘Water Purification and Save Water.
The play was written produced and directed by M L Dogra and inaugurated by chief guest Dr Tara Singh Charak. V K Magotra, Dr A C Bhagat, Dr Anju Dogra and Vinod Dogra were the guests of honour. The program commenced with specially prepared song, “Bin Pani Kiyan Jina”. Songs and dances were presented to aware the masses about importance of water. The music was composed by BLSLS music director Raju Bajgal and the songs sung by the artists of BLSKS and students of the institute. The program was highly appreciated by the audience. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colourful and effective on the theme of save water and sanitation.
Earlier in his welcome address V K Magotra, MD, BLSKS, threw light on the life of “Bhagirath ” the importance of Save Water and also said, Sant Bhagirath was a great king who brought the River Ganges, personified as the River Goddess Ganga, to earth from the heavens and also informed that BLSKS is promoting folk culture of Jammu and Kashmir and awareness programs on Save Water. He said the BLSKA has so far presented more than 150 musical plays and 130 awareness cultural shows to promote the culture of India and awareness programs on Prevention of Aids, Water Sanitation, National Integration, Rural Development and Save the Girl Child during the year.
Theartists who performed included Usha Handoo, K KJoshi, M C Kotwal, HemRaj, Deevam Jandiyal, Renu Saproo, Shan Khan, Sonu Gupta, Himika, Sakshi, Mohd Afroz, Abreen Fatima, Jyoti Sharma, Sourav Kumar, Krishna, Abhiyamanyu, Dhruv, Rakshit, Ujwal, Mukesh Kumar, Maytri, Mitali, Ananya and Bindiya. Master Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
