JAMMU, Nov 28: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Unison Cultural Troupe, Sangam Tru Art Production and ESRM presented musical play ‘Jal Hi Jeevan’ in its Saturday Theatre Series here at Janipur.
The play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The program was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K.
The program commenced with songs “Jal Hi Jeevan” and ‘Ganga Tera Pani Amrit Pal-Pal Mela Hota Jaey”. The music was composed by music teacher, Raju Bajgal and the songs were sung by the artists of BLSKS and students of the institute.
Besides, singers, musicians, actors, students who participated in the programme were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, MC Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, Hem Raj, Kamli Devi and Deevam Jandiyal and Renu Saproo. Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
