JAMMU, Dec 22: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) performed Dogri musical play ‘Jai Duggar-Jai Dogri’ in its Saturday theatre series, here today.
The play was written and directed by ML Dogra, renowned writer and director.
The play was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K in presence of VK Magotra former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, JK Raina, Producer, Director Films, JK Koul (Bezan), Chief Patron J&K Bhoomi Human Welfare Society and Dr Anju Dogra from Health Department.
During the play, the artists sung various Dogri songs. The play was composed by renowned music teacher Raju Bajgal.
Earlier, VK Magotra, MD, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented the welcome address and threw light on the story of the play.
While speaking, ML Dogra, former Regional Director, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India informed that BLSKS presents more than 100 cultural programmes every year for the promotion of the Dogra culture.
The participants of the play were Usha Handoo, MC Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Rakshit Sharma, Druv Pandit, Kuldeep Raj Sangral, Ujwal, Usha Rani, Saparsh Sharma, Deevam Jandiyal, Mohammad Rafiq, Vijay Raina, Jitender Jotshi, Vinay Pandita, Rahul Pandita, Azen Ali Haidery.
In the end, Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
