JAMMU, June 21: To celebrate the World Music Day and to promote the traditional culture of J&K and to aware the masses, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production, presented Musical Concert “ Jai Duggar Jai Dogri ” during quarantine time on the theme of “Music at the Intersections” at rehearsal hall, Durga Bhawan Janipur, here.
The Programme was inaugurated by V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India who was the chief guest on the occasion. Among the guest of honors present were Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director , Health Department J&K Government, Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Health Department Jammu & R.P. Amla, assisted the concert. The day commemorated with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, primitive folk, art, culture of J&K region in particular and Indian nation in general awareness items. The specially items prepared on the theme “Jai Dogri Jai Duggar ” , “ Sangeet se milti hai mann ko santusti” , “ Tandrustri Hazar Niyamat Hai ”, “ Jammu Sada Dogra da shear je”, “ Kalyan Kawa ” , “Hum sab ko mil Kar Kasam ek Khani hai ” , Nukkad, skits ,songs and dances were presented to aware the masses. The chief guest, said music is one of the most beautiful experiences known to human kind. There is some kind of music for everyone. It transcends all borders and boundaries. To celebrate this beautiful art form, every year on 21 June. It is celebrated as an open music festival where each and everyone can participate and laud the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective.
In addition, the artist of BLSKS also celebrated International Yoga Day on theme of this year is ‘Yoga for wellness’, a motto aligned to the current pre-occupations and Yoga as an invaluable gift.
Welcome speech was given by M.L.Dogra, chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan who highlighted the event.
The singers , musician , actors and students of music and computer institute who participated in the musical concert were Rajni Gupta, M.C.Kotwal, K.K.Joshi, Chahat Chadha, Sanjeev Sodhi , Tilak Raj Karnal , Dhruv Pandit, Rakshit Sharma, Devansh Sharma and many others presented enthralled performances. At last of the programme Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
