Blind murder case solved

JAMMU, Nov 28: Pacca Danga police has claimed to solve the blind murdered case of a youth.
“On November 21, one unidentified male dead body was found lying in Manda forest in a wooden box wrapped in blood soaked quilt cover and blanket, following which a case was registered at police station Pacca Danga under FIR No 192/2019 u/s 302 IPC,” a police spokesman said.
He said the wooden box was having an identification number which led the police to the owner of the box who in turn confirmed that he had given that box to the elder sister of the deceased who was identified as Rahul Kumar Mehra son of Hardayal, resident of House No 238, Krishna Vihar, Janipur Colony, Jammu.
The spokesperson said that the family members of deceased were called for questioning and they revealed that the real sister of the deceased wanted to marry a person of her choice but the deceased was against the marriage. Quoting family members, he said on 17th of this month the deceased had a heated argument with his mother, sister and younger brother that went out of control and turned into physical assault which led to the death of Rahul Kumar.
He said to avoid any suspicion the accused packed the dead body in a wooden box and dumped it in Manda forest from where it was reported to police by locals. The accused have been arrested under the relevant provisions of the law, the spokesman added.
