JAMMU, Feb 6: Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) under the supervision of BJYM State secretary-Partap Singh Jamwal today held an interactive session with the College ambassadors, wherein retired IGP and BJP leader Farooq Khan was the chief guest, while State secretary BJP and in charge BJYM-Yudhvir Sethi and General secretary BJYM, Ajay Pragal were the guest of honours.
Speaking on the occasion, Partap Singh Jamwal said that this session was organized to get an insight of the students, what they feel about their society and its contemporary issues.
He said that student bodies are relevant only if they work for the welfare of the students, instead of fulfilling obligations of political parties.
He further said that student ambassadors from almost all the city colleges, higher secondaries and university are being inducted into these interactive sessions, so that an intellectual and educated youth may decide on behalf of the student community.
More than 70 students attended the session and raised several queries concerning the students.
While answering the queries, Farooq Khan said that youth are the backbone of the nation and holds important place in the decision making, but as far as students are not self introspected, they cannot steer the society towards healthy tomorrow.
“At present J&K is reeling under the ever increasing unemployment and the educated youth are feeling dejected. Because of unemployment, the youth is being perverted to drugs, violence and other such crimes, which disturbs the peace of the society,” he said and added that the basic need of the hour is to understand the vein of the youth.
It is high time for the youth to voice against discriminations and misdeeds, which are going on unabated in the various sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP will leave no stone unturned to resolve students’ issues. “Women empowerment and employment to youth would be the prime concern of the party and we are working on it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ajay Pargal said that BJYM will always remain at the service of students.
