BJYM holds conference, deliberates over challenges before youth

UDHAMPUR, Sept 10: To deliberate upon the challenges before the youth of the State, the BJYM held a youth conference here, today.
The conference among others was addressed by BJP state secretary and former president Municipal Committee Udhampur, Pawan Khajuria. It said that the youth of the State have been ignored by both UPA and State coalition as no efforts have been made to channelize their talent properly.
The growing unemployment is the main problem before the youth and no steps have been taken to redress this problem.
Addressing the meeting Pawan Khajuria said that it has been due to the inefficiency of the successive State Governments that they failed to properly exploit the potential of power generation in the State which has capacity of generating thousands of Mega Watts of power. By constructing power projects and setting up industrial units the unemployment could have been contained, he added.
The price rise is another cause of concern for the youth besides the unemployment, he said, adding the Government was giving preference to anti nationals than the nationalist forces while referring the rehabilitation of surrendered militants and sanctioning various sops for them by Government.
He said this has led to the frustration among the youth in the State. Maintaining that youth is big power, he urged them to be united and work for an alternative to present Governments and Centre and in the State so that the expectations of the youth are fulfilled.
The conference was organized by Ramnek Sharma district president BJYM and others who addressed it included Michel Sachgotra district general secretary BJYM, Akshay Kumar, BJP district vice president, its secretary Subash Sharma , Sahil Bakshi vice president, BJYM, Ankit Sharma, S Kulwinder Singh, Swarandeep Bantal, Jai Singh, Bansi Lal and Ranjit Singh.
