BJP worker raided by NIA, rounds seized

JAMMU, Mar 13: The National Investigating Agency today conducted raid in the house of BJP worker and former militant Irshad Ahmad alias MD in Huller area of Kishtwar.
During the raid, NIA recovered 17 mixed rounds from the house of MD. Later, the NIA handed over MD to Kishtwar police for questioning along with the rounds.
The NIA is investigating November 2, 2018 killings of BJP senior leader Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar.
Meanwhile, police today said Osama bin Javed, a local militant of Hizbul Mujahideen hailing from Dachchan area of Kishtwar district, appeared to be behind the rifle snatching from police constable, Daleep Kumar, who was posted as Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana.
SSP Kishtwar Shakti Pathak told the Excelsior that suspended PSO Daleep Kumar during the questioning has identified Javed behind the rifle snatching along with another local militant.
