JAMMU, Sept 21: BJP National Vice-President and Incharge for J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna here today chaired meetings at Kathua, Samba and Jammu to review the preparations of upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections.
While addressing the meetings Khanna focused on strategy for winning the elections and provided useful tips to the contesting candidates.
He expressed pleasure on the enthusiasm shown by the BJP leaders and the candidates for the elections and stressed that with the continuous commitment and perseverance for the good works, BJP will clean sweep the elections by marking its presence on all the three fronts-from Panchayat to Parliament.
Speaking on the occasion BJP State President, Ravinder Raina, said that BJP always stood for the elections at the lowest level to empower the common masses. He flayed NC, PDP and BSP to further the agenda of separatists by giving boycott call.
Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta also shared useful points for the candidates and wished them good luck.
State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh managed the proceedings in the meetings.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLAs, MLCs, district office bearers, senior leaders and the BJP candidates for the local elections were also present in the meeting.
