JAMMU, Dec 1: J&K BJP Weavers and Artisans Cell convenor Balkrishan Koul highlighted the burning issues of weavers and artisans.
While addressing a press conference here, today he raised the issue of Mongree cluster, which till date is incomplete despite the funds released by the Central Government. He questioned nodal and the implementing agency for misuse of funds and demanded a high level probe.
Similar issues were highlighted by Balkrishan which showed favoritism to few blue eyed individuals and societies in the allotment of space in national and State level exhibitions.
Pawan Kumar another office bearer of the Cell highlighted the plight of weavers in Udhampur district and asked the Government to take immediate steps for the revival of Handloom Industry as people in villages are solely dependent on it.
Balkrishan Koul UT convener, Shrestha Vinod Koul and Rajesh all co- conveners, Pawan Kumar district vice-president, BJP Youth Wing Udhampur, Roshan Lal media incharge, Gandarb Singh weaver from Panjar were present in the press conference.
