PANAJI : The BJP commence its two-day national executive here today amidst the hype of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi being elevated to lead the party’s campaign in the assembly elections due in some north Indian states and the subsequent Lok Sabha elections in 2014.
Party veteran L K Advani, who missed the office bearers meeting due to ill health, is expected to be available for deliberations in the afternoon only and would not be present when party president Rajnath Singh makes the opening remarks around 1100 hrs.
The meeting to be attended by over 300 party leaders from across the country is likely to adopt two resolutions relating to the current political situation and also on national security and national pride.
The party would be hitting hard on the UPA government for its failures on all fronts especially hurting the national pride through various scams and covering up those by misusing official agencies.
The party would also be discussing organisational matters besides the preparation for elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Jharkhand. (AGENCIES)
