BJP to resume constituency level rallies

JAMMU, Jan 10: To discuss resumption of party’s public rallies at constituency level across Jammu Province, a meeting of senior leaders, State office bearers, MLAs, MLCs, district and Morcha presidents of the BJP was held here today.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State vice president Col. (retd) Uttam Singh along with former State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former State president & MLC Ashok Khajuria and State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul.
The meeting began with observing two minutes silence for the peace of the soul of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed.
Col. Uttam Singh, while expressing grief over the sad demise of former Chief Minister, said that he was an institution in himself and would be remembered for the generations to come. He said that the BJP’s organizational activities are very important component meant to hone the political acumen of the grass root level workers and to enable them remain in touch with the public effectively and gainfully. The organizational activities are meant to ensure that workers reach their respective areas and meet the people to make them aware about party’s principles, policies and ideology and also various Government welfare activities.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while paying tribute to Mufti Mohd Sayed, termed him as a broad minded political figure who believed in carrying all with him and work towards the welfare of the people of all the regions of the State. He said that the BJP, while heading NDA at the Centre and sharing power with PDP in the State, focused on good governance, development and providing corruption free administration. He said that within short span of rule, a number of welfare schemes in particular have been launched by the Central Government and it is the prime duty of our leaders and party activists to reach the masses and help them in availing the benefits of these economic upliftment schemes.
Ashok Kaul said that BJP had launched “Sushasan Vikas Sankalp Rallies” to highlight the achievements of the Central and the State governments but due to sad demise of Mufti Mohd. Sayeed, these were postponed and soon the same will be resumed. He said that the real motive behind such rallies is to educate the masses about the public centric work done by BJP Governments.
Pawan Khajuria, who is Coordinator for these rallies, presented the constituency wise details related to the twelve rallies held so far adding that the remaining twenty five will be completed by January 31.
The meeting was also apprised of the response from the public and the feedback from party activists by respective leaders and MLAs who had addressed these rallies.
