JAMMU, Apr 16: Terming the yesterday’s situation nothing except the desperation on the part of Hurriyat Conference and separatists, BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today said that militants have no alternative either to join national main stream or face extinction.
Talking to reporters here along with BJP Displaced Unit president, T N Bhat and its general secretary, Virender Kuchroo, Mr Ambardar said that his Party’s attitude towards the terrorism is confirmed and BJP will not tolerate anti national activities on Indian soil at any cost.
“We will not wait now but act firmly and you will see the results”, said Ambardar, adding, the terrorists will be on heels in next few months as BJP will be following the policy of hot pursuit against them.
He said mastermind of 2010 stone pelting violence and separatist leader Masrat Alam will be definitely arrested as BJP will seriously pursue the same before the authorities.
In response to a question that will alliance partner support it, Ambardar said the alliance partner has no option except to follow the policy.
Denying that coalition had ordered the release of Masrat Alam, he said it was ordered much before the PDP-BJP Government assumed office in the State and BJP will definitely pursue his arrest. The BJP at Centre and in the State is on the same page over the arrest of Masrat Alam, he added.
He said Government is ready to talk with any body in Kashmir under the frame work of the Indian Constitution and militants and separatists will be now left with no option but to join national mainstream as it is high time for them to take a decision in this regard.
Ambardar said that BJP is looking forward to marginalize terrorism in the State as militancy and separatism is a dying game now. They are losing their base in the State, he added.
While taking a dig at the fossilized and fundamentalist mindset of separatists in Valley about the return of Kashmiri Pandits, he warned them to keep their hands off the issue as Pandits have first right over Kashmir.
Commenting on Engineer Rashid’s statement that Pandits should apologize, he said no where in human history the suppressed have been asked to tender apology by an oppressor. It was a bizarre statement from a man who should not be taken seriously at all, he added.
