JAMMU, Apr 16: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today met Director Health Services (DHS), Jammu, Dr BS Pathania, and put forth the problems and demands of the employees.
The deputation which was led by president, JKMEF, Sushil Sudan, took up various demands of the employees, which included immediate conducting of DPC of Lab Technician, X-Ray Technician, Dental Technician, Opth Technician, etc and release of salary pending for last so many months.
Earlier, in a meeting of the Federation held here today, the speakers took strong exception for non-release of salary for the month of March besides salary for last so many months to the employees due to financial crunch in the treasuries.
The Federation president made an apparent appeal to Finance Minister to look into the matter personally and issue necessary directions to the all treasuries officers to release GP Fund in advance and salaries of the employees on the last day of every month.
Sudan said that the non-drawal of salary to employees under New Pension Scheme and GP Fund in advance has created a lot of hardships among the employees. The matter regarding non-drawl of salaries in favour of FMPHWs and other categories working under 2200 Family Welfare also came into discussion.
The speakers alleged that despite assurances made by the Health Minister during the month of March, no salary has been paid to the employees for last 10 to 12 months. They again urged the Minister to look into the matter and ensure release of pending salaries of employees.
Vinod Kumar Sharma, Kamaljeet Sawhney, CL Koul, Reham Din, Sanjay Dubey, Jarnail Choudhary, RP Singh and many others were also present.
