BJP to establish libraries in district offices

JAMMU, Nov 30: BJP Library & Documentation Department led by its State Incharge Kulbhushan Mohtra in the presence of BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul held a meeting of its State team and district Incharges at Nana Ji Deshmukh Library, BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The meeting witnessed the detailed discussions on the issue of setting up of libraries in various districts of the State.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the meeting, said that the Libraries form an eternal source of knowledge for oneself. He said that one who aspires for the truth must make books his or her best friends. He stressed that one develops insight into oneself, his surroundings and the history and culture by going through the banks of knowledge. Koul said that these libraries will serve the purpose of acquainting oneself with the thorough affairs of politics and other issues.
He said that all the books covering wide topics will be housed in these libraries so that these libraries can enable the workers of party to have more elaborate knowledge of the party ideology, principles, party history and other relevant topics.
Kulbhushan Mohtra, while speaking in the meeting, said that the district libraries will also house the books on the history of Jammu. He deliberated on the detailed working of the Nana Ji Deshmukh Library to all the district convenors and asked them to follow the principles in the letter and spirit. He also disclosed that anyone from general masses can visit the library facilities to use the services.
Various books were also issued to the district convenors as a start up for the district libraries on Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, Jammu and Kashmir history and Praja Parishad’s movement in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
Various district convenors nominated in the meeting are Varinder Arora for Jammu Rural, Surinder Blowria for Basholi, Romail Singh for Reasi, Sanjay Gupta for Jammu, Abhinandan Sharma for Poonch, Karan Singh for Ramban, Anil Khajuria for Samba, Dr. Makhan Singh for Rajouri and Milkhi Ram for Udhampur.
