JAMMU, Sept 9: Accusing earlier Governments of making all illegal appointments and encroachments in J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary and former Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal today said his party stands firm to correct all misdeeds by previous Governments.
Manyal and former MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa in a joint statement attacked previous Governments for exploiting the natural and human resources of Jammu-Kashmir and said that they are now shedding crocodile tears to make fool of others.
Reiterating the demand for regularisation of contractual, adhoc, consolidated and other temporary employees, Manyal said that this system of adhocism was actually the misdeed of successive State Governments of the J&K at that time.
Dr. Manyal said that contractual system was designed without any future road map and as such the reformative and corrective measures will take some time but BJP stands firm to correct the ills that have arisen due to faulty contractual system.
He said that now the same politicians and political parties who have played a major role in spoiling the bright careers of youth of J&K have come out of deep slumber and asking the Government to act fast while issuing warning of Aandolan. He said that such politicians and their parties have to explain that what were they doing when they were in power for 12 consecutive years and some of them 6-18 years as MLAs. Don’t befool the innocent people and youth of J&K as they seek reply from such irresponsible politicians who enjoyed power for 18 years and appointed the youth on temporary basis without any future road map for their regularisation, he stressed.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa highlighted that, every year during Monsoons Jammu particularly residents of Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment have to bear the burden of heavy floods, which damages Infrastructures like roads, nallahs and bridges. He said that due to floods, water enters into the interior localities and causes heavy damages to the residential houses and shops. He said that floods are caused due to encroachment of Nallahs and Khads by land grabbers who mostly have the shelter of some politicians and influential persons. He also stressed that every single property in encroached lands be removed immediately to safeguard the masses from further damages due to floods.
