JAMMU, Feb 10: State unit of Shri Ram Sena, has criticised the BJP led Central Government for surrendering before Separatists and Kashmir based political party to save their chair in the State.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, State president of the Sena Rajiv Mahajan alleged that BJP leadership in Jammu and Kashmir and the Centre adopted double standard on the issue of return of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley and identity of West Pakistan Refugees.
“On one hand Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh claimed that the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed assured to earmark 400 Kanals of land in Kashmir for the rehabilitation of Kashmir Pandits and on the other Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said there was no proposal to create separate zones exclusively for Kashmiri Pandits,” Mahajan alleged.
He added that this double standard of BJP clarify that Central Government and BJP leadership of the State, which managed 25 seats from Jammu in Assembly elections, ignored nationalist forces and come down under the pressure of separatists, who also have opposed building of exclusively township for Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
Rajiv said that return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir valley is possible only if Government will make separate townships in Kashmir in order to restore the confidence of the Kashmiri Pandits who had welcomed this steps.
Castigating Central Government over the issuance of Nativity/Identity certificates to West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs), who are living in Jammu and Kashmir since 1947, Rajiv Mahajan said after clearance from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, PDP-BJP Coalition Government in the State has started issuing Identity certificates to WPRs but Ministers of Home Hansraj Gangaram Ahir and Kiren Rijiju yesterday said that there is no “specific proposal” of providing “nativity and identity certificate” to West Pakistan refugees.
