JAMMU: Sept 21: To provide relief material to the flood affected areas of the State, eight trucks carrying blankets, sheets, eatable items, tents and other necessities were sent to Poonch, Surankote, Dangri, Lam, Marh, Akhnoor, Vijaypur and Gandhi Nagar areas of Jammu Province.
The trucks were flagged off by State president BJP and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma in presence of State vice president BJP CP Ganga, State general secretary, Kavinder Gupta, secretary of State Election Campaign Committee Sat Sharma (CA). State secretary Harinder Gupta, Addl. Media Secretary, Ashok Kumar Khajuria also accompanied BJP leaders.
In a press statement issued, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the relief material will be sent to flood prone areas and will benefit a lot to the victims of the recent flash floods in the State. He also appealed to the general masses to come forward and generously donate in cash or kind so that more relief could be provided to the victims of flash floods in the State.
He also said that State Government has failed to provide adequate amount of relief material to flood victims and he appealed to general public to work unitedly to help the needy. The senior BJP leader said that the party has undertaken the mission to keep its operations of distributing relief material till the last affected family is adequately rehabilitated.
Daljit Singh, Sanjay Baru, Amar Singh, Arvind Gupta, Bobby, Ramesh Kumar, Jarnail Singh and Pushkar were also present on the occasion.
