UDHAMPUR, Sept 4: JKPCC general secretary and former MLA, Th Balwan Singh today alleged that BJP Govt was selling country’s assets raised by Congress and other Governments during past 70 years.
Addressing a Press conference at Udhampur today, Balwan Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is selling National assets built by previous Governments for the last over several decades. This decision taken by Prime Minister and Finance Minister of India, only to profit `crony friends’.
“Modi is committed to the welfare of his friends and the assets of the country are no more in safe hands,” he said. Singh further alleged that the Prime Minister has been extracting hard-earned money from the poor and middle class people by various means and filling coffers selected businessmen who help BJP in elections. He has now decided to sell the country’s valuable assets worth Rs 6 lakh crore — roads, rail, mines, telecom, power, gas, airports, ports, sports stadium and what not,” Blawan alleged.
Terming the NMP the “National Mitigation Scheme”, Balwan Singh alleged that the government is keeping the interest of the countrymen at bay and “doing good only for itself and its friends”.
“Those who had vowed that I would not let the country be sold, they are selling everything to their friends one by one under the ‘National Mitigation Scheme’. Road, rail, airport, electricity, gas, petrol, mines, stadium, warehouse, everything is being sold,” Singh said.
The “sell policy” of Modi Government will prove to be harmful for the country, he alleged.
“This was not discussed either in Parliament or in any Parliamentary Committee or the Consultative Committee of the Finance Ministry. There was a brief mention about the same in the Budget speech by the Finance Minister. This was decided by the NITI Aayog, which is not a constitutional body,” he said.
Ex-MLA lashed out at BJP for its failure to control the prices of essential commodities including petrol, diesel and gas. He said common man is suffering. The unemployment is rising and the youth are being exploited by making hollow slogans. On statehood issue also, the BJP leaders are just befooling people of J&K.
Krishan Chander Bhagat (Ex-MLA), president DCC Udhampur also spoke and criticize BJP for its wrong policies.
