JAMMU, Sept 18: BJP national general secretary (Org) B L Santosh who for the first time visited Jammu after taking his new assignment said the blunders committed by successive Congress Governments are being rectified by Narendra Modi Government.
Santosh, who was addressing the BJP leaders meeting here said BJP workers are working like soldiers to make India the most powerful country in the world. He urged the party workers for large scale expansion of party in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions. He also reviewed the organizational elections in J&K and asked them to complete the process well in time.
BJP sources said the prevailing situation in J&K especially in Kashmir valley was also discussed in the meeting and the return and rehabilitation of displaced Pandits from the Valley also figured during the deliberations between Santosh and senior BJP leaders in the meeting.
Besides BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, senior leaders Dr Nirmal Singh, Ashok Khajuria, Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Shamsher Singh Manhas and Jugal Kishore Sharma MPs, Sat Sharma, Ashok Koul, Dr Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Sunil Sharma, Dy Mayor, Purnima Sharma were among the prominent leaders present in the meeting.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina also presented a portrait of Mata Vaishno Devi to Santosh on behalf of the party during the meeting.
