Saraf Singh and Kabla Singh joined the party at its State Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar in presence of their hundreds of supporters while Arun Sharma who resigned from Congress and Ramesh Khajuria of JKNPP, ex-Councillor of Congress, Surinder Gupta alias Lal Shah joined BJP along with their supporters in presence of Avinash Rai Khanna, former Minister Chander Parkash Ganga, district president Jungbir Singh and other leaders at Vijaypur.

They welcomed Charanjeet Singh into the party fold in presence of a massive gathering.
BJP terms it a great achievement and shot in its arm. It may be recalled that recently senior Congress leader and ex Minister, Sham Lal Sharma left the Congress and joined the BJP.
Addressing the gathering at Jammu, Khanna said desperate to return to power, Congress in connivance with all the black sheep is resorting to dirty means, which can endanger nation’s interests. Congress agenda is based on supporting foes of nation, he added.
Khanna was on front foot to target Congress for all the problems facing the country today. He said that Congress is once again pushing the nation towards separatism by supporting anti-national and anti-social elements and now taking support from NC, PDP in Jammu which means they are also supporting openly the demands presently being aired by PDP and NC. Is Congress now again going to launch two-Nation theory by supporting demand of “separate PM in J&K”, he asked.
“We as the part and parcel of BJP, have always worked together as a family for the ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’,. We, under the dedicated leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi have toiled to give shelter to every homeless family; we have struggled to provide electricity to thousands of villages. We as a nationalist party have worked with true intentions to serve masses with pure heart’’, Khanna said.
Today every hardcore Congress worker is feeling shame to be connected to Century old party due to its blatant support to separatists and anti-social elements, alleged Khanna and quoted this reason behind large number of Congress leaders abandoning the party and joining BJP to serve the nation and society.
Saraf Singh who contested Assembly election from Reasi in 2014, Kabla Singh (PDP), Ramesh Khajuria (JKNPP), Varinder Sharma (Wrestling Association), Rajiv Sharma (Demark/Shipping Company), Rohit Bajrangi (Bharat Raksha Manch), Binni Mahajan (Hindustan Shiv Sena), Sanjeev Dubey (Social Activist), Deepak Singh Rana (Social activist),  Bua Ditta (Panch) are other prominent people who joined BJP.
Charanjit Singh, on his joining BJP, said that the nationalist agenda of the party has motivated him to be part of this organization and assured to work whole heartedly to reach the masses with the pro-people, pro-poor, pro-farmers policies of BJP and seek votes for the party candidate.
