JAMMU, May 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and party sympathizers handed over cheques worth Rs 9 lakh to party’s J&K president, Ravinder Raina and BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul for donation to PM CARES Relief Fund at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
On separate occasions, former J&K BJP president, Sat Sharma (former Minister), former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, former MLA, Rajesh Gupta, former MoS, Rashpaul Verma, Library Incharge, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Media secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and other senior party leaders were present while the contributions were handed over to Ravinder Raina and Ashok Kaul.
From Jammu West district, former J&K BJP president, Sat Sharma (former Minister) along with district president, Munish Khajuria, Mandal presidents, Keshav Chopra and Raveesh Mengi, district general secretaries Adv. Rajesh Gupta & Karan Sharma handed over cheques worth 5 lakh rupees to J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina. Till date, total Rs 31 lakh donation has been made by district Jammu West in 5 installments to the PM CARES Fund.
From Jammu East Assembly Constituency, former MLA Rajesh Gupta and district president, Vinay Gupta along with Kuldeep Kandhari, Rajinder Gupta, Raj Kumar Gupta, Vageesh Bharti, Pradeep Sharma, Susheel Gupta, Sunil Gupta and Tarun Kumar handed over cheques worth Rs 3.5 lakh to J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina. Out of Rs 3.5 lakh , Raj Kumar Gupta collected Rs 1.5 lakh from Ward No. 15.
BJP additional protocol secretary, Shailender Vaid handed over and donated Rs 42,000 (forty two thousand) by cheque to J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina.
Ravinder Raina, complimented all the donors for liberal funding to the PM CARES Fund on the appeal of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and said that their contribution will strengthen the hands of PM Modi in the fight against Corona pandemic.
