UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: BJP candidate from Udhampur, Pawan Khajuria continued his door to door campaign in areas of Mallar, Rheni, Jib, Nalial Neeli Nala, Khuduan, Bali, Morh, Gandala and Udhampur town.
He also organized a massive public meeting at Jail road Kathalya.
Addressing the meeting Khajuria lambasted the coalition of depriving the people of the area of basic amenities of life and alleged that the condition of roads lanes and drains is worst in the area. There is a lot of public resentment against the Government and people want a change as the public representative of the area also failed to come up to the expectations of masses though given a public mandate twice.
Khajuria said BJP being a cadre based party is more concerned for public welfare than power and it is the only party which believes that attainment of power is not to rule the people but to serve the country to the best satisfaction.
He said instead of serving the people the coalition leaders indulged into corrupt practices and amassed a huge wealth over the years by looting the State exchequer.
He said Rs 26,000 crores have been bungled in Roshni Scheme and the benefit was given to the coalition leaders during Congress-PDP rule. He also accused the sitting MLA of dividing people on the basis of caste and creed besides ignoring the genuine people having problems.
Pawan Khajuria was accompanied by Subash Gupta, Roshan Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Banu Partap and Akash Gupta.
A public rally was also held later at Sangroor where Khajuria highlighted the policies and programmes of BJP.
