KATHUA, Oct 28: The Congress party today accused the BJP of playing communal card during recent Municipal elections in the State.
While addressing media person Congress State secretary, Nirdosh Sharma, block president, Ravinder Pal Singh and contesting candidates of Kathua MC said that the Congress party has gained it’s position in the MC elections and won five seats in the Kathua Municipal Council.
They said the Congress lost five other seats with a very thin margin from 8 votes to 50 votes otherwise the party might have succeeded in registering it’s win and controlling the Kathua MC.
They said in some other seats lost by Congress, BJP played communal card in most of the seats and foul the people on one and another pretext of fake promises and communal way.
He pointed out that if BJP contest on the name of development why BJP has so far failed to form Committee at Kathua, Nagari, Lakhanpur Billawer and Basholi.
