JAMMU, Oct 11: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla has alleged that BJP-PDP coalition Government has failed to deliver good to the public and is trying to divert the public attention by raising controversies.
While addressing protesting Congress workers at Karan Bagh Chowk near Chatha – Bhour Camp in Gandhi Nagar constituency here today, Mr Bhalla strongly criticized the BJP leaders and Ministers from Jammu and alleged that they have failed to protect the interests of the people from Jammu region. He said they have surrendered all the core issues and aspirations of the people from Jammu region for the sake of power.
Mr Bhalla pointed out that having failed on all the fronts and deliver good to the public, the coalition partners (PDP-BJP) raised beef issue and several other controversies just to divert the attention of the people from the basic issues. They are trying to befool them and just passing time. He said by raising communal issues, both the parties are trying to play communal card and engineer regional divide. They have turned the situation volatile in both the regions and tried to disturb peace. The Congress leader appealed the people from both the regions to understand their game plan and maintain communal harmony.
Referring to the issues of imposing additional tax on Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims by Government and AIIMS for Jammu, the senior PCC leader said that BJP leadership was still maintaining criminal silence and befooling Jammu people but fact is that they have meekly surrendered both the issues. They have no respect for the aspirations of the people from Jammu region.
The PCC leader said that PHE daily wagers, ITI and CP workers besides temporary workers from PWD, PDD and Agriculture Departments are on strike for the last over one month. Condition of roads is worst in many areas and people are facing hardships for want of basic amenities. This Gover-nment has totally failed to on all fronts, he added.
