BJP-PDP added to woes of people: Bhalla

JAMMU, May 10:  Former minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla  has claimed that BJP-PDP coalition has only added to the woes of common man while BJP is fully involved in every anti-Jammu decisions by the Govt.
While interacting with the people at Bandhu Rakh in Gandhi Nagar constituency today, Bhalla termed PDP-BJP Government a rudderless ship and asked them to introspect as situation in the Valley is fast deteriorating with every passing day.   He said the current regime in its lust to remain in power,  has compromised with everything from providing a sense of security to  ensuring basic necessities to the people. The state bureaucracy too is in a state of disarray and dismay owing to mishandling and unprecedented impropriety by the PDP-BJP Government. He said juniors are being promoted over seniors and key departments are being run in an ad-hoc and chaotic manner. There is no sign of development any where, he added.
The PCC leader alleged that BJP is acting as dummy coalition partner in the Government  and discrimination with Jammu province goes un-awaited. The Jammu is facing  discrimination in recruitment, allotment of funds, development in tourist sector  and  overall development process. He said  Congress is real representative of Jammu province that people have realized now. He said that the general public including traders, businessmen, farmers, unemployed, families of the martyrs, border residents besides daily wagers, casual workers, contractual lecturers, etc. had been bearing the brunt of the discrimination in all spheres.
He said that the farmers were not paid any compensation against their colossal loss pertaining to crops, livestock and precious lives which were washed away by the catastrophic cloud burst and thunder storms. He expressed deep concern over the wilful delay in the notification and establishment of AIIMS in Jammu and unnecessary delay in functioning of five sanctioned Medical Colleges in the state as well as the building of Kathua and Doda Medical colleges which have not been started after a lapse of three years. He alleged that State Govt was Government is not performing according to the Agenda of Alliance, he added.
