KPC opposes unilateral ceasefire

JAMMU, May 10:  Reacting over the demand of unilateral ceasefire by the security forces during the Ramadan month in Kashmir valley, KPC opposed and rejected  this formula as proposed in all parties meet in Srinagar, yesterday.
President KPC, Kundan Kashmiri while addressing his activists at New Delhi today, appealed the Central Government not to accept such demand and also appealed Mehbooba Mufti and other politicians of Kashmir valley not to press for the same. This move is politically motivated and for giving a lease of life to dying militants, stone pelters and others, who are at present under heavy pressure of security forces.
He further said that in case of unilateral ceasefire by Indian security forces, there is no guarantee that militants, stone pelters and others will not attack on security forces, yatris, tourists and others, as well as not hoist Pak flags and create  law and order problem in the Valley. The move by the Government. would be suicidal one, prove counter—productive and would be succumbing under the dictates of separatists and  other forces.
Kundan Kashmiri stressed for hot pursuit against militants as well as against their over-ground supporters, working as stone pelters in the valley.
