BJP pays tributes to Mangat Singh Manhas

JAMMU, Feb 21: In a programme organised in village Bharwal Molu in the memory of BJP senior leader from Pargwal Mangat Singh Manhas on his first death anniversary, State president of the party Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with Leader of Legislature Party & MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria, vice-president Col (retd) . Uttam Singh, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, senior leaders Sat Sharma (C.A.) and Chaman Lal Kanathia, paid rich tributes to this mass leader today.
They garlanded the portrait of Mangat Singh Manhas and remembered his contribution to the people of Pargwal and party.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his tributes, described Mr Manhas as a tall leader of the area who had very good social and political standing among the people. It was due to his untiring efforts that the party was successful in reaching the masses more effectively and bringing into its fold a large population.
Ashok Khajuria said that the committed activists like Mr Manhas are the real strength of the party and in his untimely demise the BJP has suffered an irreparable loss.
Col. Uttam Singh, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma (C.A.) and Chaman Lal Kanathia said that Mr Manhas was a popular leader in the area due to his closeness with public.
Later, Jugal Kishore Sharma and other leaders also visited the family of Chameil Singh and assured them that the party will continue to put efforts to ensure that his dead body is brought back from Pakistan at the earliest. They criticized the Deputy Chief Minister for not taking the matter seriously.
