JAMMU, Aug 13: J&K BJP organized an exhibition on “Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas (Partition Horrors) at Kachi Chawni, here today.
MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma along with former DyCM Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Sat Sharma, vice-president, Yudhvir Sethi former MoS Priya Sethi, chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi and other senior party leaders inaugurated the exhibition.
“Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas Committee” led by Munish Sharma along with members of committee, BJP vice-president, Anuradha Charak, spokesperson, Girdhari Lal Raina, co-incharge All Cells, Ved Sharma and Library incharge, Kubhushan Mohtra, organized the exhibition.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that this exhibition will be helpful in making today’s generation aware of the pain of India-Pakistan partition. He said that Indians cannot forget the pain of partition and this exhibition will ensure that our generations will always remember the horrors and the losses of partition.
Sat Sharma told that on August 14, 1947, India and Pakistan were divided into two parts, not only that, during this partition, riots broke out on both sides and millions of people lost their lives in the violence. The pain of India suffered in these riots is still alive in the hearts of thousands of people.
Munish Sharma said that the country could not forget the devastation caused by partition. This exhibition has been organized with the aim of bringing the truth of this tragedy of partition to the people, he said.
