JAMMU, Sept 9: BJP candidate from Jammu South R.S Pura Constituency, Dr. Narinder Singh has said that the upcoming Assembly elections mark a significant milestone as these are being held for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A from J&K.
Addressing a press conference here today Dr. Singh emphasized that these elections are a contest of narratives with BJP showcasing its commitment to peace and development in J&K.

“BJP’s manifesto, released by Union Home Minister, addresses key issues in J&K and promises to provide laptops to youth pursuing higher education, Rs. 10,000 for UPSC aspirants for two years and many more,” he said.
Dr. Singh stressed that the Modi government is dedicated to deliver social welfare schemes across India, including J&K and cited examples like Ujwala Yojna, Har Ghar Sochalaya and others.
“BJP’s manifesto promises 5 Marla free land under Atal Awas Yojna, increasing old age pension to Rs. 3000, enhancing Ayushman Bharat cover from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh, increasing Kisan Nidhi to Rs. 10,000 and introducing Maa Samman Yojna, providing Rs. 18,000 per year to the eldest woman member of the household, along with two free LPG cylinders,” he continued.
Dr. Singh further said that manifesto also addressed the issue of infiltrators including those from Bangladesh and Rohingyas.
He invited his supporters to join his nomination march from Kunjwani to R.S Pura on September 10, 2024, at 10 am and appealed to all voters to cast their ballots on October 1, emphasizing that every vote counts in democracy.
