BJP left border residents at mercy of God: Manjit

VIJAYPUR, Mar 30: District Samba Congress President, Manjit Singh on Saturday accused BJP of ignoring Jammu’s development for the sake of power.
“The tourism sector which could have been backbone of Jammu has not been developed, even as slogans and statements were given by the BJP when they were in rule in Jammu,” said senior Congress leader Manjit Singh.
Singh, who held series of public meetings at Khanpur, Akhri, Palota, Shekhupura, Nawa Chak, Jad, Partap Singh Pura, Showni, Khokre Chak and other places in Vijaypur assembly constituency appealed people to vote NC-Congress candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary seat.
Manjit Singh also said that BJP has befooled the people of Jammu and border residents along the International Border.
“The sufferings of the people have increased under Modi Government at Centre and then, PDP-BJP Government in Jammu and Kashmir,” he alleged.
Singh said that the five marla plots to the people have again turned to be ‘jumla’, the border people have been left at the mercy of God.
He said that most of the people have lost their land and are facing hardship in their lives.
