KATHUA, July 17: Senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today visited village Badaala in Kathua district to take stock of the grim situation that has arisen after the killing of a local youth in the village early this week.
J&K BJP general secretary, Dr. D K Manyal (former Minister) accompanied by party spokesperson, Rajiv Jasrotia (former Minister), district president BJP Raghunandan Singh, Naresh Sharma president MC Kathua, district president SC Morcha, Bhupinder Raj, Updesh Andotra, general secretary, Mahila Morcha BJP, Mandal president, Chatar Singh and Sunny Kumar vice president BJYM visited village Badaala and met with the family members of slain youth to pay their heart felt condolences to them.
They also handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh to bereaved family from the party fund and also assured further help from party side.
During the visit, it was highlighted that a young Dalit youth, Deepak Kumar was murdered by some miscreants of one particular community. The boy belonged to a poor Dalit family and was main bread earner of his family who was married just one month back. The miscreants attacked the boy in a bid to loot their belongings, which resulted into his death, they were informed.
It was also stressed that these antisocial elements have also encroached hundreds kanals of state land in this area around the village and are involved in bovine smuggling and in drug trafficking.
These unscrupulous elements wanted to create fear psychosis among this poor community and the murder was preplanned to create communal disturbance in the Village.
The family and other villagers demanded justice and the local Sarpanch and villagers also stressed a suitable compensation for the family. They said that these antisocial elements must be arrested and dealt strongly under law of the land.
Dr. D K Manyal and other senior BJP leaders listened to their demands and assured them that due justice will be delivered to them. It was assured that the thorough probe will be conducted and no one will be spared. They also assured them full help on behalf of BJP and on spot handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh o the family from BJP.
