JAMMU, July 17: Waive off 50 per cent additional tax imposed on liquor during lockdown by the canteens of para military forces.
This was demanded by Darshan Kumar Chauhan, General Secretary Ex-Central Para Military Forces Welfare Association while interacting with media persons here today.
He also projected various other demands, which need immediate redressal.
He informed that the Association members have decided to meet the Excise Commissioner J&K to get the 50 per cent additional tax imposed on the liquor by the canteens of para military forces revoked.
Chauhan demanded grant of similar benefits at par with BSF, ITBP and NSG, framing of separate Armed Force Services and Pension Rules, One-Rank-One Pension (OROP) similar to Defense Forces, CSD canteen facilities instead of Central Police Canteen (CPC), extension of all post retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-CAPF status, restorations of stopped pension/grant pension of BSF personnel resigned under BSF Rule and Para Military Service Pay (PMSP) to serving CPMF personnel.
He also demanded appointment of High Level Committee headed by Retired Judge to study and recommend the entire problems being faced by CPMF serving/retired personnel by making appropriate Act, Rules and regulations, grant of first ACP to Head Constable and 2nd ACP to Constable to the post of Sub-Inspector in accordance with original scheme of ACP 1999.
Among others present were Gurdyal Singh District President Jammu, Balbir Singh General Secretary District Jammu, Noor Mohammad, Yashpaul, Lovely Pandita, Ashok Kumar, Mela Ram, Daleep Kumar, Janak Raj and Jagar Nath.
