AIMCCC activists protest against water scarcity

JAMMU, July 17: All India Migrant Camp coordination Committee (AIMCCC) activists held a protest demonstration at Jagti townships today against the prevailing water scarcity.
The protestors, while expressing their concern over water scarcity demanded digging of bore wells immediately in the township for supply of pure drinking water to its inmates who are facing lot of problems due to water scarcity especially in the Monsoons.
The protestors said that installation of bore wells is the main and only solution to their problem. “We demand that pure water needs to be supplied daily in all blocks of Jagti townships as the camp inmates are not getting regular water supply and the water lifted from Tawi is also impure and contaminated”. The people in this high and humid temperature are facing hardships due to water crisis”, they added.
Maintaining how people can manage without water in this hot and humid temperature they urged the authorities to find an early solution to the issue. They warned agitation in case the problem is not solved and raise this burning issue at every forum. Besides water scarcity the protestors also raised other burning issues of displaced people from Valley.
Those who addressed the protesters included Desh Rattan, president AIMCCC, Satish Sas, Anjlli Kar, Rajinder Pandita, Vinod Misri, Priya Dhar, M.M.Kanth.and J L.Raina.
Among other participants included M.L.Boni,Raj Kumar Koul, Ramesh Kumar Pandita, Santosha Halli, P.N. Jalali, Ramesh Kapoor, Satish Koul, Satish Pandita, Virender Ji, Roshan Lal Reshi, Shubhan Ji Raina, R K.Bhat, T.K.Bhat, Ramesh Ji etc.
