BJP leaders deceiving Jammu people: Madan Lal

AKHNOOR, Jan 12: Former Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma has alleged that the BJP leaders from Jammu region were deceiving the people by making hollow claims and false promises for their vested interests.
Addressing party workers at Lohri Milan meeting held at Akhnoor today, Ex-MP greeted people on the festival and wished a prosperous Lohri to them and the Block Committee members. The meeting was attended by a large number of Congress workers of Akhnoor.
During meeting, the Block Congress Committees for Akhnoor was also announced by DCC Rural president Hari Singh Chib who presided over the meeting. Senior Congress leader Bansi Lal Gupta was appointed as the president of Block Congress Committee Akhnoor and S Gurbachan Singh as the president of Block Congress Committee Maira Mandrian.
While speaking on the occasion, Madan Lal said that BJP is deceiving the people of Jammu by their different stands on all issues of Jammu. He said the J&K BJP leaders give different statements while its Central leadership some thing different.
Sharma said that Government has failed to control the rising prices of items of daily use and inflation is at a all time high. Also no employment opportunities are being generated by Government and those already in jobs are becoming jobless due to failed economic policies of the Government.
The former MP asked the newly appointed Block presidents to work at grass root level to strengthen the Congress.
During meeting Youth Congress leader Satish Sharma said that he will continue his fight for the rights of the youth of Jammu. He alleged that BJP Government was trying to deprieve the youth of J&K from jobs by allowing outsiders to apply in recent published jobs for High Court but had to withdraw the notification after strong protest from Congress party.
Prominent among others who spoke in the meeting were Kuldeep Verma, Rohit Sharma, Parveen Kumar BDC Chairman Samwan, Uttam Singh, Rahul Tandon, Bansi Lal, Gurbachan Singh, Baldev Singh and others.
