BJP leaders ask CE PWD to take up pending works in Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 12: JKBJP senior leaders led by former State president, BJP Sat Sharma (CA) met Chief Engineer PWD (Public Works Department), Ashok Kikkloo and apprised him of problems concerning macadamization of roads being faced by inhabitants of various areas in Jammu province. UT vice presidents BJP, Yudhvir Sethi, Aseem Gupta and former MLC Vikram Randhawa also accompanied the BJP leader.
The leaders held a fruitful meeting with the Chief Engineer and it was brought to his notice that many areas in Jammu province covering all 37 Assembly constituencies are facing many difficulties regarding broken roads including various inner and outer areas of Jammu province. The leaders stated that the recently released Rupees 100 crore for macadamization of roads in Jammu province must be used judiciously and those areas which remained untouched must be kept on priority. They also stated that alternate roads must also be developed to reduce the traffic congestion in Jammu city as well. They submitted complaints of various other areas and gave the Chief Engineer a memorandum regarding grievances of the public. They urged the Chief Engineer to look into the problems of the masses and solve them.
Chief Engineer assured them that all their problems will be looked into seriously and PWD is committed to provide best possible infrastructure to all areas in Jammu province. He also stated that all the pending works will be taken up immediately after the Monsoon season ends. The meeting was also attended by Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineers of Division 1, 2 and 3.
