JAMMU, Sept 23: Continuing their efforts to reach out to the flood victims, BJP Jammu-Poonch Parliament Constituency’s Incharge and State Incharge, BJYM, Yudhvir Sethi today organized a relief camp at Peer Kho, here.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Mahavir Rotary Club, Jammu, wherein he distributed eatable items, blankets, utensils and bakery products to the people hit by the recent unprecedented heavy rains and resultant floods.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi appealed the people to donate voluntarily for the flood affected people. In this hour of sorrow and grief, we all should rise above political and social considerations and be part of the noble cause as it is the best service of humanity, he added.
He expressed hope that more and more people will come forward as per their capability and donate whole heartedly for this noble cause. He assured the people living at the bank of Peer Kho that the party will not rest till the last person is provided food, proper medical care and adequately rehabilitated.
The relief items were arranged by Mahavir Rotary Club.
Among those who actively participated in this distribution camp were Raju Phalwan, Anil Jain, Narottam Sharma, Dr Tahir, Ashish Sareen, Ashwani Khosla, Arun Sethi, Pardeep Langey etc.
