JAMMU, Mar 27: Former Deputy Mayor Jammu and senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria today visited various booths and discussed in detail with the workers about the booth structures.
He said that the senior leadership of BJP are working hard at each booth of the Jammu Lok Sabha seat under the areas of RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. Billawaria said that with the aim of increasing the votes at every booth by running Booth Vijay Abhiyan, the party has launched a special campaign to increase the votes at the booths where it has been weak in the previous elections.
He said that among the polling booths of RS Pura Jammu South Assembly, the party is paying special attention to strengthen those polling booths where BJP has been weak in the previous elections. He said that if the vote margin is more in the Lok Sabha elections then it will be easier to win in the Assembly elections. Billawaria encouraged the workers to contact people door-to-door along with distribution of slips and to vote with their families in the morning on the voting day.
He further said that party workers should contact those who have availed the benefits of welfare schemes during the 10-year tenure of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi so that they cast their vote for BJP on the polling day. He said that the way of working of leaders and workers of BJP is different from other parties. Workers are not only visible to the people in elections but are also involved in the happiness and sorrow of the people, he added.
To strengthen the booth, Billawaria informed the workers about various programmes and campaigns being conducted at the booth level, from the party booth expansion campaign, booth leadership training, booth Vijay Sankalp campaign, Shakti Sammelan. In the meeting, an account of the work of each worker and report of the programmes conducted at the booth was also prepared. Mandal president, Vijay Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Vikram Sandhu, Ajay Pratap Singh, Jyoti Prakash Sharma, Sudesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Rajinder Chib, Vijay Dogra, Jamit Singh and other senior BJP workers were present in the meeting.
