JAMMU, Dec 2: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held meeting of newly elected presidents, vice-presidents, Councillors and Corporators of committees, Councils and Jammu Municipal Corporation, (JMC) at party Headquarter, here, today.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, Union MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta and other party senior leaders were present in the meeting. Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, asked newly elected public representatives to work dedicatedly to strengthen the party. He asked them to work on ground in accordance to the wishes of general masses. While boosting them to work dedicatedly for coming Parliament and Assembly Polls, he claimed that BJP will form the next Government in the State on its own.
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said that rumours were spread about BJP that it will face a waterloo after Kathua episode but credit goes to partymen who worked hard and BJP has not only won ULB poll in Jammu region but at various places in Kashmir Valley, besides the Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation was also elected with its support. The Union Minister asked the newly elected Corporators and Councillors to work with honesty and dedication to make the party victorious in coming Assembly Parliament elections also.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while speaking in the meeting, said that a big responsibility lies on the heads of newly elected Councillors from the region. He said that Councillors have to work hard to fulfil the aspirations of the common masses.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while speaking in the meeting, said that BJP is built on the strong organizational foundation. He said that the workers are the asset of the organization and the present success of party is due to efforts that have been put by generations of dedicated workers.
Addressing the function Kavinder Gupta, asked all to be well aware about the Committees and their functioning. He, while stressing on maintaining of discipline, said party discipline is cornerstone of BJP and key to success.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayoor JMC thanked all the Councillors and corporators for active participation in the meeting. He assured the leadership that the elected representatives of the local bodies will work with full force to build a greater reputation of party between the masses.
Ashok Kaul, while speaking in the meeting, prompted all to work for the extension of party principles and ideology in the public while working for the development of the region.
BJP vice president, Pawan Khajuria while speaking on the occasion apprised the newly elected Councillors and Corporators about the problems they may face in accomplishing their task.
Former Minister, Rajiv Jasrotia also spoke on the occasion. Stage was managed by Yudhvir Sethi, general secretary of the party while function as attended by former Minsters Legislators and senior party leaders also.
