JAMMU, Jan 4: Additional general secretary of J&K National Conference and former Minister Ajay Sadhotra has asserted that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) is merely a photography event being organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt to hide its failures.
Sadhotra made these comments during Party’s review meeting of Chenani and Ramnagar Assembly Constituencies of Udhampur at party office in Jammu today. The meeting was presided over by Ram Parshotam Sharma, District president Udhampur who highlighted multiple problems faced by the people.
Senior NC leader said that the incumbent Govt has miserably failed to address people’s issues particularly the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir because of its anti- people policies. Moreover, these miseries of the people have further multiplied due to the shortage of manpower in administration. He said that thousands of posts in Govt Departments of J&K are lying vacant since long so much so that even the health centres and schools are without adequate staff.
Accusing the administration of being least bothered about filling the said posts, Sadhotra said that this stands proved by the existing scenario in Ramnagar and Chenani Assembly Constituencies where the problems of general public have increased manifold today.
Provincial president for Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta said that BJP as well as the UT Administration have betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially those of Jammu by promising the moon and delivering nothing on ground. He asserted that Jammu BJP leaders from top to bottom are in utter frustration today as they have no say in the party’s high command and therefore they cannot address the people’s problems. Gupta said the performance of the BJP’s proxy regime in J&K has been quite dismal as per the expectations of people which is evident from the fact that its Jammu leaders are shying away from meeting the people.
Surinder Choudhary, Central secretary and former Minister Abdul Gani Malik urged the party workers to reach out to the people and take the requisite steps to address their issues.
Senior leaders- Bashir Ahmed, Rampaul, Qazi Jalal Ud Din, Pardeep Bali, Ayub Malik, Vijay Lochan, Abdul Gani Teli, Rakesh Singh, Vijay Lakhshmi Datta, Naresh Anthal, Vijay Kumar and Jagdish Bhaderwaj were also present on the occasion.
