LEH (Ladakh), Mar 11: A meeting of BJP Working Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of Ven.Lobzang Yantak acting President of the party.
All the participants felt it necessity to approach the concern for operating additional flight from Delhi, Jammu, Chandigarh and Srinagar as the large number of passengers are stranded there.
Later the delegation met CEO/DC Leh for taking up the issue for operating additional flights from Delhi-Leh, Jammu-Leh, Srinagar-Leh and also requested for operating Army flight from Chandigarh to Nubra Thois to accommodate maximum passenger from there.
Apart from that it was also requested to introduce an independent Army flight from Chandigarh to Leh to accommodate the civilians. By making such type of arrangement the problems being faced by the stranded passenger consisting of Senior citizens, students and common people are come to an end.
The DC has heard demands of delegation patiently and assured to take up the issue with all concern for favorable result.
