BJP for adoption of Shrine Bill: Khajuria

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 8: Allaying all the apprehensions of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit Community, leader of BJP Legislative Party in the Assembly, Ashok Khajuria today said that his party stands for the adoption of the Hindu Temples & Shrine Bills as it is needed the most to protect, preserve, conserve and restore to their pristine glory all the vandalized, bad-in-shape and abandoned temples and shrines in Kashmir, which the displaced community and all other Hindus hold sacred.
In a statement issued here today Mr Khajuria said “the BJP is committed to safeguarding the socio-cultural, religious and politico-economic rights of the displaced community and will work with a single minded devotion to achieve the objective so that the community leads a dignified and secure life in Jammu and elsewhere,”  The BJP leadership would soon engage the leadership of the Pandit community to sort out differences, if any in this regard, he added.
Mr Khajuria however regretted that some of his observations caused resentment in the community and reassured it that Pandits should not entertain any doubt whatever about the BJP’s commitment to the nationalist cause, the displaced community has been taking up since decades now. He expressed the hope that his sincere regret would be appreciated by the community considering the BJP’s age old stand on it.
