BJP fails to fulfil election commitments: Harsh Dev

JAMMU, Mar 3: Former Minister and senior National Panthers Party (NPP) leader Harsh Dev Singh today said that Bharatiya Janata Party has miserably failed to fulfil the commitments it had made with the people during the Parliamentary, Assembly, panchayat, and the urban local body polls.
He said while the unemployed youth were assured of job bonanzas with gainful employment for all educated youth, the general masses were lured by the most glamour slogans of “Ache Din”, “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” etc.
“And above all, the BJP leadership had promised to curb inflation and to improve and ameliorate the lot of common man by framing people friendly policies,” he said.
“But unfortunately 8 years down the line what we find is all-round disenchantment with a hapless BJP Government grappling with the mess of its own creation,” added Harsh Dev Singh.
He was addressing prominent party workers of Chenani, Ghordi, Ramnagar, and Majalta in a meeting convened at Udhampur today.
Singh said that the Agniveer scheme announced by the Government had not only antagonized the young aspirants all over the country, but had unravelled the insensitivity of a highly apathetic Government in its true colours.
“Recruiting youth for four years and then retiring them at the young age of 22 and 23 years was a typical example of use and throw policy against the youth besides constituting a human right violation of a grave order,” the former Minister said.
He also slammed the ruling dispensation for treating the BSF and CISF aspirants casually.
“Plight of NYCs, NYKs, REKs, REJs, PETs, SAMAGRA teachers, DRWs, Contractual, Anganwari and Ashwa Workers, MGNREGA and NHM workers was equally pathetic in J&K,” said Harsh Dev Singh.
