BJP failed to ensure equal share to Jammu: Sham

UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Form-er minister and  senior  PCC  leader Sham Lal Sharma has  strongly criticised the BJP for its utter failure to ensure equitable share to Jammu region in every sphere and its surrender on every vital issue and compromise on its  agenda,  for the sake of power.
Paying rich tributes to veteran Congress leader and former minister Yash Pal Khajuria on his 5th death anniversary at a function  at Udhampur today, Sharma lashed out at the BJP for exploiting the sentiments of people of Jammu region on emotional issues like removal of Article 370, removing ‘Do Vidhan,  Do Nishan’, citizenship and voting rights to West Pakistan refugees, removing discrimination and ensuring  equitable share to Jammu region in every sphere but regretted that it surrendered on all vital issues and aspirations of the region for the sake of chair.
Sharma further said that the PDP-BJP  Coalition Govt has failed on all fronts, as a result different section of the society are suffering. He referred to sky rocketing price-rise of essentials commodities since the Modi Govt came to power and said that  the steep hike in prices of ration and non-availability of rations and reduction in scale of kerosene oil and sugar are the highly anti- poor policies of State Govt. He also referred to the  neglect of farmers, unemployed youth including the daily wagers/ casual and need based workers in various departments,  failure to address issues of different sections of agitating employees, and  especially the failure to maintain peace in the State, which reflected the resentment of the people against the present dispensation.
Kanta Bhan, vice president PCC, Yogesh Sawhney, former minister  and PCC general secretary, Ravinder Sharma – PCC chief spokesperson, Faqir Nath, Ex-MLA, Krishan C Bhagat Ex-MLA Chaneni and Ashok Dogra Ex-MLA also paid rich tributes to Late Khajuria and recalled his commitment to the service of people.
Ashok Gupta- president DCC Udhampur chaired the function while many DCC/ BCC  functionaries  attended the programme and paid tributes to late Khajuria.
Sourav Khajuria, son of late Khajuria expressed gratitude to the party workers for remembering his father.
