JAMMU, July 14: BJP Displaced Kashmiri Unit delegation called on Minister of State for Education and Culture, Priya Sethi here, today and discussed various problems of Kashmiri migrants with her.
The delegation was led by Virender Kuchroo general secretary of the Unit and it demanded immediate settlement of problems of PM package employees with transfer of teachers in their respective districts and their adjustment near district headquarters.
It also demanded proper accommodation to PM package employees in Valley.
The meeting also demanded that the migrant teachers be given promotion and adjusted in camp schools as there is dearth of subject teachers in various camp schools.
The water scarcity problem of the camps especially the Jagti township was also discussed by Mr Kuchroo with Minister and she was asked to take up the issue with concerned Ministry.
The delegation among other issues discussed the PM’s employment package, passage of shrines and temples Bill, the status of minority institutions in Valley and their revival, problems of over aged youth and release of compensation for damaged properties etc with the Minister.
