BJP discusses strategy for “Jan Jagran”, “Jan Sampark” programmes

JAMMU, Sept 4: After the abrogation of Article 370 and nullification of Article 35(A), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) decided to proceed ahead with the massive campaigns to educate the general masses on the ill effects of controversial Articles in J&K and the rest of India.
In this connection, BJP decided to hold “Jan Jagran Abhiyaan” in which mass awareness programmes will be arranged and “Jan Sampark Abhiyaan” in which the prominent persons from the society will be contacted.
BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul chaired the meeting, which was attended by State general secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, State vice-president, Th. Narain Singh, Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta, party State spokesperson, Brig. (retd) Anil Gupta, V. K. Sethi, H.S. Pammi and other senior party leaders from the State.
It was also disclosed in the meeting the under the “Jan Jagran Abhiyaan”, the Central leaders will also address the rallies, while taking the merits of abrogating Article 370. It was stressed that the previous Governments have kept the masses in dark over the issue and always misused the Article to hide their misdeeds. It was discussed that while maximum region of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh is celebrating the abrogation of Article, certain persons with malafide intentions are still trying to vitiate the atmosphere by misguiding the gullible population by feeding on their naïve minds.
All the BJP leaders were clear & confident in their voice on the subject that the masses in all parts of the region must be made aware of facts and figures in the regards and be made fully assured that the decision will take the region for development spree.
It was decided in the meeting, that the main programme in this connection, will be held in Jammu on September 22, which will witness massive participation from the Civil Society and will likely be addressed by Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh.
It was also decided that the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh will also be celebrated in the event by remembering his contribution in the integration of the State into the Indian Union. Besides, programme will be held in Kathua on September 14, in Udhampur on September, 15, in Doda on September 25, in Rajouri on September 26, in Leh on September 29 and in Kargil on September 30.
Earlier addressing another function organised by BJP general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi at Party Headquarters, Ashok Kaul said that abrogation of Article 370 has armoured people’s faith in BJP. The programme among others was attended by BJP general secretary, Dr Narinder Singh, State office secretary, Tilak Raj Gupta, Anusuchit Jaati Morcha, State president, Jagdish Bhagat and district president, BJP, Ayodhya Gupta. On the occasion leaders of various political parties joined BJP.
